Such was the case when OPI unveiled GelColor in October with a star-studded ad campaign featuring Carol Burnett, Cyndi Lauper, Jane Lynch and Anna Paquin. "They were some of the most fun OPI photo shoots I’ve ever worked on," said OPI Art Director Brenda Rogers. "I especially loved working with Carol Burnett—out entire crew could not stop laughing! She is so down to earth and naturally beautiful—the perfect.
There is also another advert featuring Cyndi Lauper adorned in the OPI shade Alpine Snow. Currently in the US edition of More Magazine February 2012.
Tickets are now on sale for the upcoming shows in Japan for the Cyndi Lauper Japan Tour 2012. Cyndi Lauper is to play a total of 6 shows in Niigata, Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya.

Cyndi Lauper is set to do a one night concert at Smart Araneta Coliseum in Manila on March 17th, 2012! I'm starting to market and promote her concert together with her concert production. I'm also planning to do a Cyndi Lauper Exhibit since a music bar is doing a Lauper special on late February. Johnnie Walker's programme Sounds of the 70s was joined by popstar and fashion icon Cyndi Lauper to discuss the music that influenced her through the 70's.
In 2009, Epic/Legacy released Playlist: The Very Best Of Cyndi Lauper in the US. The CD was also issued in Germany, Switzerland, Korea, (also in 2009), Canada and Taiwan (2010).
On the 31st January 2012, SMBE/Legacy Recordings is re-releasing the compilation on CD in the US. It is not known at this stage whether the cover and track listing will be the different or if there will be any bonus/digital material. The 2012 re-issue does have a new catalogue number: 88691932662.
The first issue came in a 100% recycled paperboard sleeve and an Enhanced CD with a digital booklet. The digital booklet (PDF File) contained the following: tracks, images (6 different photos), notes, credits, discography, wallpaper (2 different types) and privacy policy.

Best known for her hit singles Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and True Colours, Cyndi began her 70s travelling around North America after leaving home, eventually studying art in Vermont. Returning to New York she began singing in the city's bars and clubs, performing songs by bands such as Led Zeppelin and Jefferson Airplane. After a scare with her vocal chords in 1977, she went on to garner huge success in the 80s.

Cyndi Lauper mentioned in December she had just filmed a commerical for a lottery company via Twitter. Cyndi tweeted again last night "Hey... I did a fun commercial for the New York Lottery. It premieres tonight."
On the 6th January 2012 at Area 51 NYE Studios in Manhattan, Cyndi Lauper and Jon Secada began recording a song called Still I Rise. The duet was finished yesterday according to Jon Secada via his Twitter account. He tweeted: "Just finished in the studio on my duet with Cyndi Lauper wow "Still I Rise" is an awesome song! Cyndi is amazing."
Still I Rise was first performed at Cyndi Lauper's Home For The Holidays benefit concert on the 4th December 2011.
It is unknown at this stage if the song will be a single, appear on an album or when the song will be released.

It was announced last year that Cyndi Lauper alongside Bret Michaels will serve as celebrity monarchs for its 2012 Lundi Gras parade. Well tickets for the event are now on sale. Go to http://shop.kreweoforpheus.com to get yours!
This black tie event begins with live music and dancing until the magic moment when the gigantic floats arrive. As the entire parade rolls through the Convention Center, guests are showered with beads, doubloons, and other throws that fly fast and furious from the magnificent floats. Once the floats are inside, the music resumes, and dancing and merriment reign.
